3rd Joint SIH Meeting
The 3rd collaborative SIH Congress, initiated by the University of Bern and the University of Freiburg, will take place from 29–31 May 2026 at the Kursaal Bern
Over the past decade, our understanding of Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension (SIH) has expanded tremendously: etiologies have been elucidated, diagnostic work-up refined, and therapies optimized. Yet, many questions remain unanswered, and further research and collaboration are urgently needed to improve patient care.
This congress will provide a unique educational and scientific platform, uniting neurologists, neurosurgeons, and neuroradiologists from around the world.
The program will combine:
- A dedicated introductory course for participants with little or no prior experience in SIH, including hands-on training in diagnostic work-up, pyelography techniques, and case-based discussions.
- Scientific sessions covering the full spectrum of SIH, from clinical presentation and imaging to treatment strategies and follow-up.
- Expert-led lectures, interactive tutorials, and case discussions focusing on both established knowledge and the most recent developments in the field.
The congress aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, exchange of expertise, and critical discussion to address current challenges and shape the future of SIH diagnosis and treatment.
We look forward to welcoming you to Bern for this landmark meeting.
