Neuroradiology has been offering a teleradiological diagnostic and consultation service since 2012.

DIN carries out neuroradiological findings for various hospitals at night and at weekends. Numerous other hospitals within and outside the canton are networked with the Inselspital via secure connections; this allows image transfer, e.g. for patient transfers, without the diversions via mechanical data carriers (CD, DVD) and the obtaining of a second opinion in the case of unclear neuroradiological findings.

Particularly in the case of time-critical issues (stroke, traumatic brain injury), the specialists at the Neurocentre can jointly coordinate and plan the further procedure based on the image findings before the patient arrives - ensuring optimal care without delay.
