A team of 21 doctors, 25 MTRAs, 3 qualified nurses, 4 MPAs, 3 physicists and a computer scientist deals with the entire spectrum of diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology (therapeutic procedures on the head, neck and spinal cord vessels) using state-of-the-art equipment (multislice spiral CT, biplane high-resolution neuro-angio, MRI at 1. 5 and 3 T including EPI imaging, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and MR spectroscopy).

Vascular diseases are treated in collaboration with the Department of Neurosurgery (Prof. Dr A. Raabe) and the Neurology / Stroke Unit (Prof. Dr C. Bassetti).

There is also close cooperation with the Clinics of Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, the Department of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery and the Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Outside the Inselspital, there is close co-operation with the Psychiatric University Hospital Waldau.
